SCA Technologies (www.sca-tech.com) has started a new development center in Bangalore, India. The center which has 20 professionals currently will specifically focus on Product Engineering for all of SCA’s current and next generation products. This is the first time that SCA will do its product development work outside its Pittsburgh center.
Bangalore is the second location for SCA in India, which already runs a 40 people center in Gurgaon, which was started in 2004, focusing on product implementation and data analytics services. The reason SCA selected Bangalore was because of the availability and depth of product development & R&D talents in the region. SCA plans to double the India headcount in India by 4th Quarter of 2006, and invest significantly in the Product R&D initiatives this year. India is a key focus for SCA not only because of the availability of quality resources, but also because SCA is planning to offer its product offering to large Indian companies in the 2nd quarter of 2006. |
